AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently had a run in with Slingshot my ISP. They tried to sell me a service that was cheaper than what Telecom was offering, and told me - quote " Nothing will change - everything will be just the same as it was at Telecom" Unquote. Well that was a load of bollix. The next morning I had a niggle in my gut and thought something just doesn't add up - so I phoned Telecom and then Slingshot just to confirm a few things and my gut was right. Without going into details everything was not going to be the same.

I told Slingshot that I therefore did not want this service any more and to cancel - They said they would - BUT THEY DIDN'T and the next 5 weeks were a nightmare. Some companies are exceptional on how not handle problems. Slingshot would be right at the top of the list. After 6 different people and retelling my story 6 different times finally something was done to reverse the situation and they still had the gonads to try and negotiate what I was going to pay them for particular things that they had been charged for by Telecom. Not my problem I said - but like a rabid Pitbull they bit in and insisted that I pay some money.

I managed to get the $204 they wanted from me down to $33. I will however have the last say as I have just sent them an invoice for $600 for wasting my time - lets see what response I get from them and and I wonder if I can waste their time as much as they have wasted mine. This is not about revenge - it is a study in how the big guy will react. Will they pay - hell no of course not, but it will waste someones time and I suspect they will write me a letter back with a good explanation why they shouldn't. Then I will send them an overdue notice and see what reaction I get. This is one for the small guy - after ignoring this kind of crap for many years its time to dish it out and just see what happens.

Did you ever get the $600 from Slingshot?
